is Mobile Banking Service?
Mobile Banking is the new electronic
channel that BCR provides to its
clients. Through this system the
clients can make some banking transactions
by mens of a cellular phone, sending text messages
to phone number 2276 (BCRM.)

How
does Mobile Banking work?
To affiliate to the system you just need to access our website bancobcr.com, type in you user number and PIN and access the Mobile Banking menu. By means of this option, you can affiliate your cellular phone number.
Once you have affiliated, you will receive a message from BCR and, from this moment on, you will be able to make the available transactions through Mobile Banking, using the specific nomenclatures for each transaction.
What is an “Alias”?
Alias are the key words or nicknames that the client will assign to the specific products or services that s/he will use to make his transactions. With the specification of Alias, the client makes sure that the information of his businesses with BCR will not be disclosed. For example, instead of sending the credit card number, you send the alias “mitarie”.

Cost of the Service
- For sending a message, you will be charged the ICE normal fee (currently ¢1.30).
- For the confirmation message that the Bank sends, you will be charged ¢5.00.
Important Notes:
Each BCR client will be able to affiliate up to three cellular phone numbers.
The establishment of the sessions will depend on ICE coverage
Due to the characteristics of this service, all the transactions will be made without any kind of confirmation; this means that the user must be completely sure at the moment of making any transaction.
If the customer has any doubt, concerning his transaction being made, or if he never received the confirmation message, s/he will be able to confirm the transaction by means of our Customer Assistance Center, at phone number 284-6600 or at bancobcr.com, in the electronic transactions history section.
Due to the characteristics of this service and the means used to make the transactions, the user is responsible of the use of his cellular phone, taking special care of it and the manipulation that a third party can make of it (you expose the information kept in the “Messages” option of your phone.)
Whenever a transaction is completed, the system will send you a confirmation text message to your phone and to the e-mail that is registered in the Bank.
