Online affiliation to BancoBCR.com 

In case you forgot your password or to affiliate for the first time:

You can affiliate to our Virtual Branch online (directly on our web site).  The passwords should follow the next pattern: between 8 and 11 characters and should have at least 1 Capital Letter, 1 small letter and numbers in the combination you decide. 

When you are in the screen that says “Welcome to the Virtual Branch you will see an option on the left side which says “Afiliese” (to affiliate), please click on that option. Next the system will require you to accept the terms and conditions of the site, by making click on the small square at the left of the phrase “ He leído y acepto las condiciones establecidas en él” (I have read and accepted the terms and conditions to use the Electronic Services of Banco de Costa Rica) if you want to check the terms and conditions please click here. 

Once you accept the terms and conditions, the site will ask for your ID Number as it is registered in our system. Next it will ask for your debit or credit card number (if you do not have a card please leave this space empty) next it will request the four digit PIN number you use in ATMs (if you do not have it please put your Bancatel four digit PIN) and last, it will request the expiration date of the card (leave it empty if you do not have any card). 

Next please create your new password following the pattern explained previously; the system will require you to type it twice to confirm it. The last step is to choose the expiration of your password (this is a legal formality of Costa Rican Banking Authorities) it can be 30, 60 or 90 days, then click on “Confirmar” (to confirm). 

Now the system will accept the change and will show a link with the words “Oficina Virtual”, please click on it and enter your ID Number and your new password. And you are ready!
