Banca Móvil (Mobile Banking Services)

Which is the Banca Móvil service?

Banca Móvil  is an electronic channel that the BCR offers to its customers by which they can perform various banking transactions from their mobile phone , sending test messages to number 2276 (BCRM).

What do I need?

For service usage you just need to have a mobile phone.

How does Banca Móvil work?

To join the system you should only enter our website bancobcr.com, type your user ID and personal password and access the Banca Móvil menu. This option must enroll your mobile phone number.

Once you have affiliated, you will receive a message from the BCR, as of that time you can make transactions available through the Banca Móvil using specific nomenclatures for each transaction.

What are Aliases?

Aliases are nicknames or Keywords, that customer will assign to products or services with which he will make his transactions. With alias specifications, customer ensures his business information does not travel through BCR. For example, instead of sending my credit card number, I send my alias "mitarje".

Cost of Service

  • For sending a text message, ICE normal charge (Currently ¢1.30)
  • For confirmation text message sent by the Bank, it will be charged: ¢5.00

 

Important Notes:

Each BCR customer may enroll up to three mobile phone numbers.

The establishment of the sessions depends on the coverage of the ICE

Given the characteristics of the service, every transaction handled through this means, will be made without prior confirmation of it, that is, the customer should be sure when processing the transactions.

If the customer has questioned whether a transaction was processed or if he never got the confirmation message, he may confirm it through the Customer Service Center, at phone #2211-1111 or at the website bancobcr.com in the history of electronic transactions.

Due to the implicit characteristics of the service and means by which the transactions are executed, the user is responsible for managing his mobile phone; therefore, he must be careful with his telephone, queries and handling third parties may make of it (exposure of the information from the message feature of his telephone).

Every time a transaction is completed, system sends a text message to the customer as well as a receipt to the email address registered in the Bank.
