History:
BCR Valores (Securities) S.A. was born as a corporation on November 1st, 1999, under Article 55 of the Ley Reguladora del Mercado de Valores (Securities Market Regulation), and therefore is regulated and supervised by the Superintendencia General de Valores (General Superindence of Securities). It previously worked as a department of Banco de Costa Rica (Banco de Costa Rica) and although it is a separate corporation today, it has the support and administration from the same bank, which in turn is holding 100% corporate equity.
