Security Custodian

Custody is a service offered by BCR Custodian of Banco de Costa Rica as a custodian entity authorized by the Superintendencia General de Valores. Service rendered includes care and preservation of securities in printed or dematerialized version (record in account), cash related to such securities, and legal entitlement record.  Custodians are liable for returning securities of same issuer, same species and same features of those which were received for custody whenever the owner or legal holder requests them.

Among BCR Custodian services you will find the following:

a. Receipt of securities for custodian services 

b. Settlement Service of stock exchange operations made with securities under custody.

c. Management and handling of accounting records of printed and dematerialized version securities.

d. Management and custody of cash related to securities under custody.

e. Management of patrimony rights which consists in the interest and principal collection, amortizations, dividends or any other right related to securities under custody.
