History
BCR Valores Puesto de Bolsa S.A. started
as a corporation on November 1, 1999 under article 55 of the Stock Exchange
Regulatory Law overseen by the Superintendencia
General de Valores. Before it functioned as a Banco de Costa Rica department and today although it is
a separate corporation, it counts on the support and guidance of the Bank
who additionally owns 100% of its capital.
With 10 years of experience in the national
and international market, BCR Valores is made up
of a group of interdisciplinary professionals. It is known as one of the best
alternatives to operate and diversify investments.
BCR Valores has
been among first positions regarding negotiated transaction volumes at
Stock Exchange, for example, its 2009 patrimony grew 45% in regards to
previous year from ¢3.714 million to ¢5.378 million at 2009’s end.
Regarding total income, it owned 2009
biggest market share, 24% profitability over annual patrimony (ROE).
